These examples offer just a small glimpse of the large number of medical centers in Virginia that offer therapeutic yoga programs and clinical studies that show the potential of yoga to improve health. Scholarships are available for both active duty veterans and for the Veterans Yoga Project and Warriors at East training courses. They achieve this by teaching self-regulation skills through yoga, offering multi-day retreats, and training yoga teachers and health professionals to use yoga safely and effectively.
Yoga classes through the Yoga for Veterans Project are taught in collaboration with veterinary centers, Virginia hospitals, treatment centers and other support organizations.
